Clotrimazole (brand name Canesten or Lotrimin) is an antifungal medication commonly used in the treatment of fungal infections (of both humans and other animals) such as vaginal yeast infections, oral thrush, and ringworm. It is also used to treat athlete's foot and jock itch. It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most important medication needed in a basic health system.

Have used over a few years but when I stop using it, the fungus returns on my feet/foot nails. Dr. said I may need to use indefinitely. Must be something else that cures this toenail/foot fungus?

I have not had anything better for a yeast infection outside the vagina. Clotrimazole is the best cream ever. The infection was gone by the 2nd day.
