I haven't had acne for 12 years, but it came back after a couple weeks of taking Losartan. The acne is different than what I had when I was younger. There are a lot of pimples clustered close together, and they form a rough patch. This is in addition to the return of cysts that are located further apart.

Doctor switched my BP med from Diovan HCT to Losartan Potassium and within one day I started to have a migraine. He said it was unrelated and sent me to get a MRI. In the mean time my vision deteriorated. I was always very slightly nearsighted but presbyopia was setting in, near vision was getting worse and my previously perfect distance vision was deteriorating. MRI was unremarkable so convinced that the medication was causing these problems, I discontinued it myself. Within a couple days the migraine went away. Unfortunately the presbyopia is permanent. Worst BP med I've ever taken. Fired my doctor over this.

* About FAERS: The FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) is used by FDA for activities such as looking for new safety concerns that might be related to a marketed product, evaluating a manufacturer's compliance to reporting regulations and responding to outside requests for information. Reporting of adverse events is a voluntary process, and not every report is sent to FDA and entered into FAERS. The FAERS database may contain duplicate reports, the report quality is variable, and many factors may influence reporting (e.g., media attention, length of time a drug is marketed, market share). For these reasons, FAERS case reports cannot be used to calculate incidence or estimates of risk for a particular product or compare risks between products.
