It took me so long to finally figure out why I was getting the recurring uti's every month as I hadn't had one in over 10 years and now appearing monthly for the past 10 months after researching and seeing the common thread between the anastrozole and uti's. The doctors haven't had a clue as to why they kept recurring. Sometimes we have to be our own advocates and do our own research. The dry skin is the worst, I'm talking middle of winter worst without using any creams, and it's from head to toe. I'm not positive about the lung issues, but, again I never had any issues until starting with the anastrozole (will be contacting my oncologist tomorrow)! Am now on blood thinners and have beginning stage of emphysema with cough. Have had pneumonia twice within months of each other and was hospitalized with the second bout, and this is after getting the pneumonia vaccine. Never had any of these issues before the anastrozole. I also have multiple sclerosis so pretty used to pain, but this deep bone pain goes way beyond the regular everyday pain.

* About FAERS: The FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) is used by FDA for activities such as looking for new safety concerns that might be related to a marketed product, evaluating a manufacturer's compliance to reporting regulations and responding to outside requests for information. Reporting of adverse events is a voluntary process, and not every report is sent to FDA and entered into FAERS. The FAERS database may contain duplicate reports, the report quality is variable, and many factors may influence reporting (e.g., media attention, length of time a drug is marketed, market share). For these reasons, FAERS case reports cannot be used to calculate incidence or estimates of risk for a particular product or compare risks between products.
