Druginformer Identified Side Effects: Somnolence, Abnormal dreams, Dry mouth

Effectiveness Rating:     Overall Rating:

Posted By Samantha on March 15, 2019 @ 9:07 pm

I’ve been on ami for over a year now to help with postshingles and endometriosis related pain. The tiredness, the lethargy, and grogginess took months to pass. I persisted with it and found taking it at night about 7pm was good as the main bulk of grogginess had passed by about 10am but for the first two months I was fast asleep within an hour of taking the drug (20mg at night). I have never been a dreamer, or at least I have never remembered anything I have dreamed. I just black out at night, but I started getting very vivid insane dreams, sometimes nightmares that I would wake up in a sweat shaking from. Most were just bizarre rather than frightening.

* About FAERS: The FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) is used by FDA for activities such as looking for new safety concerns that might be related to a marketed product, evaluating a manufacturer's compliance to reporting regulations and responding to outside requests for information. Reporting of adverse events is a voluntary process, and not every report is sent to FDA and entered into FAERS. The FAERS database may contain duplicate reports, the report quality is variable, and many factors may influence reporting (e.g., media attention, length of time a drug is marketed, market share). For these reasons, FAERS case reports cannot be used to calculate incidence or estimates of risk for a particular product or compare risks between products.
