enadryl knocks out allergic reactions but may knock you out too I grew up in Ohio and went through the pain of annual scratch tests and weekly allergy shots all through my childhood and teen years....

I'd take it more if it didn't knock me out! I can't think of anything better for quick relief of allergy symptoms than benadryl. It helps stop itchy eyes and runny noses, and it also clears up hives ...
