Works, but still have flares . Was on Asacol HD, but switched to Lialda. One side effect of Asacol was hair loss for me (luckily it was only temporary).

It kept things at bay for two years. I have not had any major flare ups (that landed me in the hospital) since the first flare up in 2004.

Diagnosed with UC in 2008. Put on Asacol, 12 pills per day with reoccurring flares. I have been switched to Lialda, now over 2 years ago. 4 pills per day with no flares and no side affects.
